The Problem
The success of onboarding a new hire is a major determinant of their longevity at that company. New hires experience a steep and largely unnecessary learning curve and often find themselves bogged down with the minutia of a job rather than the "big picture." Company information is poorly democratized and should be as accessible as asking our phones what the weather's going to be like today.
"Workplace information is poorly democratized"
The Fix
-
6 months speaking to business managers and office admins.
-
Discovered two critical issues, supported by academic findings as well.
-
1. High worker turnover is more strongly correlated to new hires' longevity at their company than salary.
-
2. Work-related solutions are often stored with trained professionals rather than trained databases and result in high levels of new hire stress, stemming from geographic, technological, and social environments such as race, religion, and personality types, causing accessibility gaps.

Conclusion
-
By eliminating dependencies on human co-workers to serve as onboarding knowledge bases and replacing them with sophisticated and immediate solution engines, new hires can avoid the following (fear of asking too many questions, fear of forgetting names, solution access dependent on people who may be unavailable ie maternity leave, sick, on vacation, and finally reducing concerns of office favoritism, and predjudice.
